Get Ready for Dereham Blues Festival 2025 – Join us at the Gressenhall Fete!

The countdown to Dereham Blues Festival 2025 is on, and we’re kicking things off in style! Join us at the Gressenhall Village Fete on Saturday 31 May, from 12pm to 4pm – another great opportunity to meet our fabulous volunteers and soak up the atmosphere at this hugely popular traditional event. Festival programmes will be available, and you can enjoy brilliant live blues from Norfolk Blues Society musicians – with acoustic sets at their stand and amplified performances on stage.

Our Volunteers Make It Happen – Could You Join the Team?

Behind the scenes, a new extended committee and a brilliant team of volunteers have been working tirelessly to make Dereham Blues Festival bigger and better than ever. Thanks to their hard work, we've hit every milestone deadline, launched new initiatives like our newsletter, made great progress on the 2026 programme, and brought greater efficiency to the planning and organisation of our live events. The future is looking exciting – but to achieve everything we have in mind, we need more people to join our friendly, dedicated teams.

Whether you're great with people, love writing, enjoy planning events, or just want to help out on the day, there’s a place for you. We’re looking for support in areas including:

  • Venue Liaison – ensuring the venues have the support and information they need to host fantastic gigs
  • Sponsor Liaison – keeping our valued sponsors informed and supported
  • Live Events – assisting with planning or volunteering at events on the day
  • Publicity – writers, photographers and photo archivists welcome!
  • Volunteer Coordination – making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time

Welcome to the Dereham Blues Festival website. Whether you are a serious performer, an enthusiastic busker or a fan of the blues and live music, we hope you’ll find everything you need here in preparation for joining us in Dereham at the end of the second week in July.

We are very proud of our festival (now widely recognised on the national blues circuit) and the many benefits it brings to the town of Dereham. If you’ve never been, it’s well worth a visit to sample a wide range of blues music – you’ll hear acoustic guitars, a heavier electric feel, wailing harmonicas, solo artists, jam sessions, original artists, bands playing old standards that make you want to get up and dance, and much more.

More than 50 bands will be playing in venues throughout the town, as well as a family-friendly busking event on the Saturday. All the performances (except the opening concert) are free-entry – great entertainment for the price of a drink or two while you groove to the music.

Festival schedule now available

Whilst the 2025 programmes are now with the printers, and will be with us in Early May, the list of bands, venues and gigs is now available here on the website.

With  many new bands performing for the first time at this year's festival together with favourites for previous years, it will be even more exciting than usual. So start planning your festival timetable now!
